How to keep a courtship alive


To keep your relationship alive there are certain things that must be done. For any relationship to be active and going smoothly, these tips must be strictly adhered to. The tips are as follows;-

1.       There is a need for you to create time to pray together about your future and any satanic traps.

2.        The persons in courtship need to jointly attend intending couple’s class or marriage and family school. Family transformation training.

3.       It is ideal for intending couples should be in constant touch with each other via phone call, text, e-mail; write each other regularly, especially when you live in different towns or cities.

4.       Discuss as adult, minimize disagreement and if there is any, see a counselor.

5.       Trust each other and of course be trustworthy 

6.       Exchange gifts and visit each where Satan won’t take advantage of you.

7.       Share spiritual assignment e.g. reading through the bible in three months or less, share prayer agreement and requests at night, appointing a day or more per week for fasting, attend conference together, exchange books on relationship and other areas of concern together e.t.c.

Factors responsible for the terminating a courtship; the Christian way.


Courtship can be broken owing to a number of factors. However, it must not be broken any how because the emotion and life of human being are involved. The factors responsible for broken courtship include but not limited to;-
1.       Wedding
2.       Medical conflict e.g. if both intending couple are ‘AS’ , ‘SS’ genotype they can amicably part ways
3.       Church directive: when gross indiscipline, illegal business, unfaithfulness, backsliding are discovered.
4.       God’s directive/ godly counsel of godly people who knows the mind of God on that relationship than the parochial, sentimental and emotional, un-reasonability of the intending couple.

5.       Irreconcilable differences and orientations.
6.       Death of an intended partner
7.       Insanity
8.       Immorality/ double dating
9.       Constant misunderstanding and disagreement.
10.   Lack of inner peace about the relationship.
11.   Mutual agreement to amicably part ways for extraneous reasons.
